This Privacy Policy explains how Praxis Marketing Consultancy, trading as Axario (Registration Number 2025/558202/07) ("Axario", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects personal information through Axario Home, our subscription household management platform.
It should be read together with the Axario Home Terms of Service, the Refund Policy and our Cookie Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and contact information
Your name, email address, password credentials, contact number where provided, profile details, communication preferences and support correspondence.
1.2 Household and property information
Details of the homes and properties you add — addresses, property descriptions, room or area breakdowns, utilities, and household member details for the people you invite (name, email address and access level).
1.3 Content you create and upload
- Documents and uploaded files — contracts, certificates, policies, manuals, statements and any other files you store.
- Purchases, receipts and warranties — supplier, purchase date, price, warranty period and supporting proof of purchase.
- Belongings — inventories of items, serial numbers, values, locations and insurance-related details you choose to record.
- Vehicle information — vehicle details, registration and licence renewal dates, service history and related documents.
- Pet information — pet profiles, veterinary and vaccination records and related reminders.
- Service providers and contractors — the names, contact details and job history of the plumbers, electricians, cleaners and other providers you record.
- Reminders, notes and other user-created content — schedules, tasks, renewal dates and free-text notes.
- Photos and attachments — images and files you attach to any record.
We refer to all of the above collectively as "Your Content". Some of it may relate to other people in your household — please only add information you are entitled to add.
1.4 Billing and subscription information
Your subscription plan, trial status, billing period, renewal dates, transaction history and invoices. We do not store your full card details. Card data is captured and processed by our payment processors: Paddle acts as merchant of record for international customers, and the applicable South African payment provider processes local payments.
1.5 Technical, analytics and cookie information
Device type, browser, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed and usage logs. We use cookies and similar technologies (including Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager) subject to your consent choices — see our Cookie Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and operate your account and household workspace.
- To store, display, search and sync Your Content across your devices.
- To send reminders, notifications and service communications you have enabled.
- To process subscriptions, trials, renewals and refunds.
- To provide support and respond to your queries.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the product, using analytics data rather than the contents of your documents.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share Your Content with advertisers, and we do not use Your Content for advertising or profiling.
3. Ownership of Your Content
You retain ownership of Your Content. Uploading it to Axario Home does not transfer any ownership to us. You grant us only a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, encrypt, back up, transmit, process and display Your Content for the sole purpose of operating, securing and supporting the service for you and the household members you have given access to. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where we must retain a copy to meet a legal obligation. You can export or delete Your Content using the tools provided in the product.
4. Automated and Assisted Features
Where Axario Home offers automated or AI-assisted features — such as extracting details from an uploaded document, suggesting reminders or categorising records — these operate only on the content of your own account, to produce a result for you. We do not use Your Content to train third-party general-purpose models. If we introduce a feature that would materially change how Your Content is processed, we will update this policy and give notice before it applies to you.
5. Legal Basis and Consent
We process personal information on the basis of your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and compliance with legal obligations, as recognised under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and equivalent laws where applicable. We process personal information lawfully, minimally, for the purposes set out above, and we take reasonable steps to keep it accurate and secure, in line with the POPIA conditions for lawful processing.
6. Third-Party Service Providers and Sharing
We share personal information only with:
- Household members you invite, limited to what their access level allows.
- Hosting and database providers who store the service and Your Content on our behalf under contract.
- Email and notification providers used to deliver reminders, service messages and support replies.
- Analytics providers (Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager), subject to your cookie consent.
- Payment processors — Paddle as merchant of record for international customers, and the applicable South African payment provider for local customers. They receive the data needed to take payment and issue refunds.
- Authorities or advisors where we are legally required to disclose information, or to establish or defend legal claims.
These providers act as operators on our behalf and may only use the information to deliver their service to us. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
7. International Transfers
Some of our processors, including Paddle, operate outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection, as required by section 72 of POPIA.
8. Data Retention
- Your Content is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Deleted items may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being permanently overwritten.
- After you close your account, we delete or anonymise Your Content within a reasonable period.
- Billing, tax and transaction records are retained for the periods required by South African law.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, encrypted storage, row-level access controls, role-based household permissions, audited access and monitored infrastructure to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials private. If a security compromise affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.
10. Children
Axario Home is intended for adults. Where you add information about children in your household, you confirm that you have the authority to do so as their parent or guardian.
11. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your account and Your Content.
- Export a copy of Your Content.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for optional communications or cookies at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa or your local supervisory authority.

12. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy, with consent controls where required. Essential cookies keep you signed in; analytics cookies only run once you consent.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
