About Axario
We looked at how facilities and operations teams were working, and realised: this industry needs an upgrade.
Most teams are still doing it the hard way.
Paper checklists. Spreadsheets held together with formulas nobody wants to touch. Compliance records scattered across inboxes and filing cabinets. Missed customer or site inspections that affect compliance and insurance. Most often asset owners or service providers keeping these sites safe and running are still doing it the hard way — not because anyone likes it that way, but because "that's how we've always done it," and there are few easier, comprehensive but cost-effective alternatives available. So we built an app that solves exactly that.
Most teams don't abandon software because it lacks features — they abandon it because it's a pain to start, doesn't match how they actually work, or takes forever to prove its worth. We think about that obsessively. Every screen in Axario is built around value: what do users actually need, how can we simplify and streamline processes for them, and how can we add value to their businesses.
Axario is built for both sides of the job.
Most platforms in this space pick a lane — compliance tracking, or maintenance management, or field service for service providers, or asset management — and stay in it. Users often end up stitching systems together to get one picture of what's actually happening across their sites. Axario doesn't pick a lane. It's four core needs, in one place.
Axario isn't two products bolted together — it's one platform, one toggle, two views. Asset owners get the peace of mind that their sites are compliant and safe. Service providers get the tools to do the maintenance, inspection and compliance work for their customers so they offer real value. Same records, same jobs, same picture, no chasing spreadsheets between the two.
We started with South African regulatory expertise baked in — electrical, fire, OHS, building, HVAC, fleet, food safety, environmental — real local frameworks, not a generic template shipped in from somewhere else. But the platform itself isn't fenced in to South Africa: the same wizard, dashboards, and workflows work for any facilities and operations team, wherever they operate.
Where we're at
As a new startup pushing the boundaries, we keep digging into how stakeholders in this industry actually operate. We want to make sure we offer the tools to enable transformation, in an industry operating in a world that's becoming more and more technology-driven, but they still have some catching up to do.
And we want to do it differently: no lengthy implementation periods, no big setup costs, no multi-year contracts, no hugely expensive monthly SaaS fees.
